Hey guys -
I have been doing some research on what equipment tapers have been using for the current tour. I think I found my condenser mic of choice as I will be attempting to record both Chicago, both Toronto and the Vancouver shows. Just two questions for anyone out there who has some experience with this.
1. I use a Mac and to download the U2 #60 tour shows I have to use my work computer simply because I can't figure out how to unpack rar files on a Mac. Would it make sense for me to record on a pc based platform and just get a cheap laptop.
2. As i mentioned, I have a great and very expensive microphone but seem to have a hard time figuring out what the best storage device would be? What do tapers use? something it an actual hard drive or just a small recorder with memory sticks? on the vertigo tour i was in the ellipse and shot a lot of video with my digital camera but even though i had a 4 GB memory stick i barely had enough room for 40 minutes of video at the highest resolution.
Any inout is greatly appreciated as i would love to supply you guys with some 4+ star quality recordings
