Its possible with foobar2000 and probably dbPoweramp. But you will loose surround sound and i recommend to encode the LPCM track that accompanies DTS tracks most of the times. Its stereo but better quality.
If you want to keep the surround sound, you better leave it like it is now. Recoding will only degrade sound quality.
