1. my favorite U2 song is sunday bloody sunday and i absolutely love their live performances of the song...

but from the elevation tour to the vertigo tour it is sounding very different...
on the elevation tour early in the tour the guitar was a bit more "twangy" i suppose you could say with a higher pitch (see boston DVD)... then later on in the tour it became more heavy and i absolutely loved it!!! i noticed that in the performances that were heavier that their was a gold circular sticker on the the top corner of edge's guitar (see slane DVD and south bend video)... it was not their early in the tour... now on the vertigo tour the sound has become more "twangy" and that sticker is gone from that guitar...

just wondering is it a different guiar???

and have you noticed the change yourself???
  2. Well, they're playing it at least a step down to accomodate Bono's voice. Even a non-musician will notice some subtle differences there. Also, Edge has been using a telecaster on the song, whereas he used to use the stratocaster. Is it a tele that you are seeing with the sticker on it?

what do you mean by tele??? the sticker was on the guitar itself... if you have a look at the Slane DVD you will see it...
  4. Well, he may have changed it, because the band plays the setlist in secuences. So, if they moved the song to a later place as the tour went on, probably Edge plays it with the guitar he uses for that secuence --the part of the show they're in--. Now, what do I mean by secuences?, Well, that they play Zoo station and the Fly together in order for Edge to use the Vertigo guitar. It also happened in the Joshua Tree tour with the piano October/New Year's day; He hanges instruments oftenly onstage, but tries to play as many songs as he can with a single one in particular. But, of course, it also may happened that he didn' like the sound and then got different effects for a later date on the tour.
