1. I'd like to see a list of the differences between Single versions and Album Versions of U2 songs.

I know that "Discotheque", "Gone", "Numb" and "Staring at the Sun" were remixed for "The best of 1990-2000, so they sounded more band- like and less tekkno- style.

I know that "Electrical Storm" was remixed by William Orbit for Single release, and they liked it so much that they put it on the album and used the "band version" only as a b-side.

I know that "Elevation" was remixed for the Tomb Raider movie, and the single is the soundtrack version.

I know that "Vertigo" doesn't have an official single version, but there are the Redanka, Reznor and Jacknife Lee remixes available as b-sides.

I heard that "ABOY" and "OOTS" might have been rerecorded for single release, is that true?

What's the difference between the two versions of "Window in the Skies" except for the longer fadeout?

How about "Beautiful Day", "Walk on", "SYCMIOYO"? What about other Singles?

  2. There's a sea of mixes, both official and unofficial, of the majority of the songs. As far as the official releases, you can find details about most of them here:
