  1. Iv just recorded a band on my new hd recorder(not U2 im afraid) and i wondered if anybody knows how i can extract the sound in WAV or at least MP3. the file is AVCHD and im running on windows XP. Thanks in advance
  2. I dont have any experience with avchd formats, but what you want is to demultiplex the avchd stream.

    Im not sure how good it is, but it should extract the audiostream. Your camcorder could record in some 'exotic' audioformat. Then you need to convert tsDemux' output using for example dbPoweramp.
