    i was 19 the summer of 1981 when we first started hearing U2 on the radio in upstate New York. i won a prmo 12" single that had 'I Will Follow" on one side and Steve Winwood's 'Night Train' on the other. Both were signed to Island Records. I've only gotten to see them twice. First at the Conspiract Of Hope show in New Jersey in 1986. Second time was the second night in San Diego of the Vertigo Tour.
    i'm glad the band has been able to keep it together this long.
