I only really posted to say how much of an improvement they are over the last design, I'm pleasantly surprised. And they're comfortable, much unlike the old style. I might go back to the Sennheiser CX-range, the only problem wih those is that the past two pairs I've had though didn't last as long as I'd expect.

I heard these new EarPods had decent sound and reviews for them. I wonder if I can find a pair with the new iPad that was bought for someone here recently; if I can I'll post up my review of them.

Is there any reason all my passwords and cookies have been wiped and my Chrome plugins might have stopped working?

    Wow they're ugly
  3. I have the new EarPods with my iPhone and they are a huge upgrade. I actually was afraid I wouldn't like them fitting my ear and even bought a new pair of the old ones, as I really do like their sound (they are still alive, nothing broken accept after 3.5 years the grey rubber went off) but the new ones I have do admit, Apple did their homework.

I usually don't play my music that loud that others might get offended. Actually they let less sound off than the old ones. I'm pretty happy with them.

I did not get any earphones with my iPad, tho.
  4. ^ Yeah I had a look before and there weren't any in the iPad box.

Which I don't think even when I bought my iPad 2 back in 2011 it had any. If I remember it had a charger, USB cable and that was it.

Speaking of iDevices - any idea why I can't switch off cellular data for certain apps? I've tried resetting network settings, resetting all settings - no go. Just some apps and stuff that I want to restrict to non-cellular data.
  5. Hm no idea, I never encountered that. I turned all off, I don't want to have active on mobile....weird. They keep me telling I should turn it on in Settings, tho.
  6. Which apps are preventing you? I don't have anything installed that doesn't let me turn off cellular network so I can't really say I've encountered it.
  7. I think he wants to turn off data only for some specific apps. I don't know if that can be done at all, sounds like an interesting topic.
  8. Think jailbreak is required, at least that is the case for android.

It can be done under cellular settings.
  10. Yeah there's an option for apps to be turned off and also gives you the amount of data downloaded next to them.

Every time I switch one off, it turns right back on. I am jailbroken (7.0.4), but it did this even before I jailbroke.
  11. Anyone into Bluetooth portable speakers here? Might have been discussed before during my 'absence', but I notice these kinds of speakers are getting more popular by the day.

Bought myself a UE Boom (Ultimate Ears) a few weeks ago. Perfect sound for such a tiny speaker (size of a beercan) and very portable and rugged. My brother bought the Bose Soundlink Mini in the same period, which is comparable in sounds but has slightly more bass.

My favourite audio-brand, Denon, announced their Denon Envaya this week, seems very good too.

    Any opinions here?
  12. Funny you should post that, I was going to ask about Bluetooth playback earlier. I have a Bose docking station with a 30-pin connector and was looking for an adapter with a female 30-pin connector that would allow me to play music from my phone via Bluetooth. Found a few devices but the cheap adapters have mixed reviews.
