Yes, where do I start...
a) Mexico is playing very, very bad, no question about it. The defense is a joke and in other tournaments we at least had the excuse "we created a lot of options, but no goals". This time not even that.
b) The referees helped Mexico last 2 games.
BUT...
The press and the public are being ultra demagogic and plainly naive: they wanted Guardado to miss the penalty intentionally. Are you kidding me? They are professionals. Tell me 1 professional player in the world that would have done that. Plus, what if the television shows later that it was in fact penalty? His career would be over if he missed the penalty on purpose.
Also, sorry to bring this up as an example, but the referees were much worse in the Mexico-Argentina game in WC 2010. No one asked Tevez or Messi to miss the goals on purpose then!
We are being very melodramatic, and in Mexico we love to say we don't deserve anything. Expect this to continue until the end of the Gold Cup.
Having said that, the team is playing horribly, and our coach (Miguel Herrera) does not have any self-criticism. He's more interested on doing political propaganda and commercials than analyzing rivals. Something should be done there.
Anyway, Tigres (Mex) vs River Plate (Arg) in the Libertadores Final, huh? Can we trust you're going to root for Tigres?

I think that qualifying is a real possibility.
