Ahhhhh I see what you mean.

I'll have to consult U2byU2 but I swear I remember them saying that she did it in order of her favourite to least favourite.
  2. I've got no complaints with it being in sequence but I still think it would be odd having it either 3rd track of the night, or assuming they do a few non JT tracks it would be track 10 or 11 of the gig. Anyway I'll take it if they do play it in sequence although I also like the idea of them playing the 11 songs together but not in album order.

You might be perfectly correct, I'm talking from the top of my head. And the book is laying at the bottom of a cardboard box somewhere around my new house (just moved) so you're definitely the man to look it up!

WOWY third (or 8th, 10th, whatever prior to the end of the set) is definitely not something we're used to, but I think we have to forget about the meaning/momentum/position it used to have in "common" sets and just put it into the album's context...

...where it doesn't fit either, coming back to what I said a few posts back Joshua's running order can and should be improved, and I wouldn't be surprised if they end up doing it anyway.
  5. Streets
    Trip
    ISHFWILF
    In Gods Country
    One Tree Hill
    Exit
    Running To Stand Still
    Red Hill Mining Town
    Bullet The Blue Sky
    With Or without You
    Mothers Of the Disappeared

Something like this would be pretty good I think.
  6. It was once 5th in a Lovetown show, and often was fairly early on then. Earliest it's been in recent times is 7th.

But I agree, it would be weird to hear so early on in the set.

    I was thinking something similar:

    Streets
    In Gods Country
    Trip
    ISHFWILF
    One Tree Hill
    Red Hill Mining Town
    Exit
    Bullet The Blue Sky

Good catch! God, Japan 89 setlists were truly unpredictable
  9. One of these 4 songs opened all their 1978-1985 shows so it makes perfect sense to my eyes

The Ocean is mad at you for not counting it, Sergio.
  10. I'm actually really curious about this now. That SOUNDS right - that 11 O'Clock, IWF, Gloria, or OOC were their only openers during 78-85. Now I wanna see if there are any more besides The Ocean we're not thinking of...

Scarcely there are some others here and there, yes. But these 4 (and The Ocean as you pointed out) were their to-go openers for over 6 years!
