Auftrittbemerkungen : U2's first ever concert in New Brunswick, or anywhere in Atlantic Canada. This show was not in the original 2010 itinerary for U2's second North American leg, and when the rescheduled 2011 itinerary was announced on 13 July 2010, this show was not included either. It was only added to the itinerary on 31 January 2011, displacing Pittsburgh's status as the final show of the leg. This show features the tour debut of 40; it is the first time an original U2 song has made a tour debut at the last show of a tour, let alone as the very last song of the tour. It was not on the printed setlist; Bono sprayed the crowd with champagne before the band played the song. It ended in the traditional manner: the band members left stage individually, with Larry the last to go.

Performance

A fantastic conclusion to cap off the 360 tour, featuring a great band performance who delivered a tight show with few mistakes, with this performance being an excellent companion show to the show before in Pittsburgh as in a similar way to that show as it includes a couple of unique moments, snippets and even some surprise songs in the encores. Bono is also still in good form, and he makes fewer mistakes than the previous night in Pittsburgh and has more moments where he gives his all on the set. All in all, it was a fabulous performance to end the tour, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Allgemeines

Overall, this show in Moncton is a phenomenal conclusion to the 2009-2011 360 tour full of many positives, such as the post-June 2011 setlist, which has two special additions, Out Of Control and 40, which are played after the usual concert closer of Moment Of Surrender which 40 ending off the show and ending in the traditional way of the band members progressively leaving the stage with Larry going last. Two unique and rare snippets for the tour are also done tonight, with these being Springhill Mining Disaster on I Still Haven't Found, with this also being the only time this Joshua Tree era cover has been referenced or performed since Buffalo October 7th, 1987 and Love Will Tear Us Apart on With Or Without You. And even some unique renditions of songs, with Stay, in particular, having a unique conclusion where the song is extended with an improv verse by Bono, which happens before the final verse, which I have never heard before in any previous versions of Stay. Overall a special conclusion show for a U2 tour and one that shouldn't be missed out on at all.

It is also worth noting that this show has the final live performances of the following songs: Get On Your Boots, I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight, Scarlet, Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me. It also contains the last performance of Zooropa in the studio arrangement, the last time Bono would sing the Pavarotti part on Miss Sarajevo, and The last on-tour performance of Moment Of Surrender (which was last done in 2013 outside of a tour).
