Notes de la performance: This concert features the first performance of A Sort Of Homecoming since 27 June 1987 and it is somewhat shambolic, with Bono struggling to remember the lyrics. This show is the first time U2 has played Slane since opening for Thin Lizzy in 1981; in honour of Thin Lizzy, U2 play a brief cover of Dancing In The Moonlight.

Performance

The band performs just as well as they do on the second night (which was filmed). This is an unforgettable show, just WOW! I really dig the addition of A Sort of Homecoming.

Son

I've heard better quality audience footage, but this isn't too bad. Nothing real special about the sound quality.

Highs for me:
-A Sort of Homecoming (first performance in a LONG time)
-Kite (Very touching, very, very touching after Bono's father died)
-Sunday Bloody Sunday (cool to hear a different rendition from Slane, plus its got the Get Up Stand Up snippet)
-One (same reason as Kite)

No real lows for me.
