Lots of first timers who didn't know what to expect and probably didn't even know more than a few songs before they came. The U2 junkies really stand out with their exuberance, dancing and singing.

As three long-term fans we had held off due to travel and Las Vegas prices but decided two months ago to go all in. We flew in from Toronto for just 3 days. We went to the Achtung Baby exhibit at the Venetian which was lots of fun the the day before the show. When the night of the show arrived, we made our way through the massive Venetian complex and found the pedestrian walkway. The Sphere is spectacular inside. The lobby wows you and competes very well with the most expensive art galleries anywhere. A good range of food and drinks are available. Our seats in Section 202 were surprisingly close to the stage. As many have commented the arena is quite steep so you feel the closeness. The show didn't start until 8:35 pm after an extended DJ mix due to a fan falling ill on the floor. When the lights came down and the band finally came out we were psyched. 5.5 years since last seeing them in Montreal we were ecstatic. It was immediately obvious that no YouTube videos can come close to the visual quality and clarity before your eyes. I also wish I could hear that audio system everyday - it was spectacular. You have never heard live music like this anywhere. The aural mix, the crunch, the high notes and the lows, all combined with an out of this world sound system directed at each seat individually. The setlist was the same as many of the shows but you know exactly why. This is a carefully choreographed and fine-tuned performance by a band at the top of their game. There has never been anything like the Sphere and U2 have mastered it perfectly. Do not miss this show if at all possible. There never has been anything to compare. I don't know how I will ever attend a stadium show outdoors again with this memory in my mind. I hope they release a concert DVD so at least those who missed it can come as close to the experience as their widescreen tv will permit. An amazing night by one of the most loved bands of all time.
