Originally posted by kickthedarkness:Did anybody ever noticed … During the intro of the great performance of SBS in Denver, 1987-11-08, Bono mentioned in the movie “like we had today, in a town, called Enniskillen, where 11 (eleven) people lie dead, many more injured, on a Sunday, Bloody Sunday”. Eleven people (10 civilians and a police officer) were indeed killed that day.
But listening to the boots of that night, he said “…Enniskillen, where 13 (thirteen) [or thirty (30) ?] people lie dead, …”.
The point is not the exact number – that is now clear, and Bono couldn’t know the exact number on that night.
But …. It is somehow strange how they managed to change/correct this so smoothly, not only on audio, but also in the movie …+ why correct ?
In that same flow, I’m still wondering if the “live” footage of WOWY (Tempe, 12/1987) from R&H, really was live from that evening(s), and wasn’t mixed with non-live footage (so much resemblance with the official video …). Seems to me a lot was prepared or recorded during a soundcheck …
Maybe this was already subject of a discussion on this forum - if so, sorry …
