1998-02-11 - Santiago, Chile - Estadio Nacional

Performance notes: U2's first concert in Chile. Mothers Of The Disappeared was not performed again until the band returned to Chile on 26 February 2006.

U2's tour itinerary as distributed to their crew indicated there would be a second Santiago show at this venue the previous night, 1998-02-10. This second concert never actually happened.

A fantastic performance by the band. Bono's voice is good, although it cracks at times. Bono is very emotional. At the start of Bad, Bono just savours the moment with his arms outstretched. An incredible moment. Mothers Of The Disappeared is very emotional with the mothers on stage.

An amazing concert.

The sound quality is superb.
Recording: "Live In Santiago 1998" - 4.5 stars

A South American crowd, you can't beat them!

I don't know how this show could be any better, it is perfect.

This is a must have bootleg.

The best Popmart show. If not one of the best U2 shows ever.
