Notes:
This show was great, me and wife (GA) and other family crew (seats) went down to see
it since it wasn't coming close to Pgh that year. I don't remember a whole lot of the
details other than two pricks who shifted their way in front of us and really pissed
me off at one point, but they continued to move on so it worked out. In hindsight, I
pulled a pretty good show, but at the time, I didn't think I did (what's new eh?) - the
mastering by bonzosozp really improved it a lot and overall, really nice gig, its a bit
distant but clean vocals, pretty clean overall sound on all the instruments. Sounds better
at higher volumes....The echo at times is pretty wild but in a stadium this big, oh well,
not much you can do about it based upon where I was standing. It's not too too bad or
distracting and only in a couple spots is it really noticable (mostly when Bono is
chatting with us all). I've never taped in a place this big, oh I take that back, I did
tape at the SARS gig in Toronto back in 2003 (400,000) but I was so far away that I setup
in front of one the satillte speakers and those tapes sound like I was taping in my living
room in front of a floor speaker, very clean sound those have, plus it was an open field,
not a walled stadium...I should probably dig them back out and rip them (have them on
CDR I think). I've seen U2 twice after this, in 2011 & 2017 and didn't roll either time.
Both in big stadiums (I prefer the arenas). Thankfully the 2011 Pgh show was recorded via
IEM and its floating around and its pretty good.
I know there was at least one other source for this 2009 date but its not on the tracker
anymore (that I can see).
Thanks to Bonzo for the remaster, great job!!!
Share it if you like, but please, keep the info and files intact.
Please do not include this show in a matrix unless you check with me first (unlikely
anyway). Thanks.
