Comments: Bono and Edge and other stars gather to honour former US President Bill Clinton’s charitable work and 65th birthday at the A Decade Of Difference concert. The set by Bono and Edge is the last of the evening and their performance features the live debut of A Man And A Woman, almost seven years after its release. It was dedicated to Chelsea Clinton and her husband Mark. Staring At The Sun was performed for the first time since 24 October 2001. Earlier in the evening, Bono appeared with K'Naan for a song; this appearance has a separate listing. Setlist and comment provided by U2gigs.com.

Just Bono and Edge for this one. The perform 7 acoustic songs for former-President Clinton and his initiative accompanied at times by a string section and a drumbeat via a Mac. Bono flubs a little, Edge makes some minor errors on the acoustic, but these things make it feel so real. There is no sign of fatigue from either of them, considering the fact that they just put a couple years of 360 in the books. Both of them put their best out there and you can hear it.
The whole concert was broadcasted to the world via Yahoo and the Hollywood Bowl is a venue that was specially designed for superior acoustics. These aspects are well reflected in this bootleg.
Let's remember that this isn't a rock concert. This is a benefit concert and the audience is absolutely perfect for this purpose. Even though it's a suit and tie affair, Bono doesn't fail to get a rousing response from the audience.
Wow. Just wow. Of the little hype this act was given, the band certainly came out and hit it out of the park. Seven acoustic songs, partly accompanied by a string section. There are a couple surprises. The first and major surprise is the live debut of "A Man And A Woman." This rather obscure HTDAAB song was seemingly hated on left and right by hardcore fans, but the band decided to stick it to the man and bust this one out. I will be honest and say that it is probably one of the strongest acoustic songs they now have. The second surprise is "Staring At The Sun." Another rather underrated song, this one hailing from Pop, makes its first appearance since it was last played during the Elevation Tour back in the early 2000s. While it was speculated that this song would make a 360 appearance, that appearance never materialized, so Pop fans will be pleased to hear this beauty joined by the string section.
Other hits include Desire, I Still Haven't Found, Sunday Bloody Sunday, all played acoustically along with One accompanied by the strings (and a very strong performance, must I say). The main set ended with Clinton coming on stage to announce the encore while praising Bono and Edge for their work. The show ended with Miss Sarajevo with Edge trading the guitar for the piano. Another song with string accompaniment and a strong performance by Bono brought the night to a close.

JEMS decided to record last night's show in spite of a worldwide webcast remembering what happened with 2009's Rose Bowl show. Because webcasts are inherently lossy, they can't be traded here or any other proper tracker, leaving us with nothing on U2T and largely MP3 versions elsewhere.
We had seats up close to the PA and I think the tape came out well.
The setlist certainly contains some major surprises. "A Man and a Woman" was dedicated the Chelsea Clinton and her husband Marc. It was more of a curiosity but still cool. "Staring at the Sun" fared much better and was easily the highlight of the night. But make no mistake, the boys struggled a bit and the show never really found a rhythm. But credit to them for playing three songs you wouldn't have expected.
Hope you enjoy.
