Note: This is a 24/44.1 file set, which in most cases can't be burned directly to CD without downsampling to 16-bit. A 16-bit, CD-friendly version will be posted separately. The recording is seamless; the disc breaks above are merely a suggestion.
Comments:
The first of five nights in Chicago; solid show for the initial night of the run, though presumably the later shows will build on the energy of this one.
Recording quality is pretty good; I was in the club level behind the stage in line with one of the overhead PAs, and was fortunate to have empty seats on either side and in front of me -- so there is no audience interference close to me at all. The fidelity relative to the first DIME source is probably not as strong due to my increased distance from the PA, but overall a solid recording without any distractions.
Many thanks to DATFLY for hooking up my son with a floor ticket that ultimately put him in the front row, while I recorded up above. I enjoyed the show, but it was a night he will remember forever.
Anyone who would like to remaster this recording and repost it is welcome to do so; in the info file, please document the original source and what you did. Mp3 samples are included in the comments.
