Performance

They delivered an energetic, passionate performance for most of the songs. There were a couple of songs off of Achtung Baby that they may have been less excited about or perhaps just need some more practice at.

Sound

This part is only rated, not commented on

Audience

The audience seemed to surprise the band, most of the time in a good way. There were a couple times where the band was asking for participation and they didn't get as much as I'd have hoped.

Overall

This band and the featured album were the perfect union to launch the Sphere as THE premier concert destination. U2 has always pushed the limits of concert technology. Achtung Baby, though decades old, still feels like a futuristic voyage, even if it's iconic sounds are cemented in history.

Excitement built walking up to it with the Sphere lit up and snippets of Achtung Baby sounds fading in and out. The snippets continued throughout the amazing concourses, adding to the surreal ambience. The video display at this venue is the greatest video display in history. When displaying real world images, it feels as if the Sphere has been transported to other locations. It also has the ability to make you feel like you are moving or that the walls are closing in. The sound system is the greatest I've ever heard. You can hear Bono whisper while the band is at full throttle.

This is the show that U2 has always dreamed about performing. This is the show that longtime U2 fans deserve. It's Zoo TV on steroids. Even non-U2 fans will be amazed and have a great time.
