Performance

Wow, a really vibrant and energetic performance of Zoo Station with some interesting French improv. The Fly follows suit in a blinding version. The string of Achtung Baby material from the start is lapped up by the crowd and the energy never comes down.

Bad is performed with passion as is Bullet. The crowd are hanging on every word during RTST which segues wonderfully into Streets. The songs following to close the main set receive more than the same passion back as the band gives out.

The Mirrorball Man really hams it up during Desire "I want your money as much as your soul" already showing shades of Macphisto. The sequencer starts a tad too early for Ultra Violet interrupted by Bono's attempted phone call to 'speak to my baby', the song starts again and it's one of the best performances of this leg of the tour. WOWY needs no excuse to get the crowd going again and includes the wonderful 'shine like stars' segment. The audience are thanked before the band ease into the finale of Love Is Blindness, even at the end of the show fans are lapping up every second of the song. I'm sure they'd happily watch the band for another two hours or more if they could.

Audience

Fantastic, singing to new and old songs, I could even hear someone singing The Fly guitar solo. A great atmosphere all round.

Overall

A must have show from the early days of ZOO TV. The band are fresh into the first European leg and sounding energised and up for it. Maybe this show has got overlooked by more popular or well known ones circulating out there, but this is worth a visit too.
