1. Lately it is beginning to dawn on me that we may have seen the final U2 concert.

I cannot foresee any situation in which they allow 50,000 people to fill football stadiums. Sure, it might happen in a few random places like Florida. But in order for U2 to mount a giant tour, all the states/countries have to be on board. Australia and New Zealand aren't going to let anybody in anytime soon. I don't think mass vaccination is our ticket back to normalcy. I truly believe 2019 and before is gone for good, and that this is the new normal.

I'm not really looking to start a covid debate, and I know this is a hot take. But I feel like the writing is on the wall, and there does not seem to be any evidence that mass gatherings of people will ever be permitted again, or at least not during the rest of U2's career. I feel like eventually I will be proven right, and it really depresses me. But I think Mumbai was it... the last full on, big crowd U2 concert.
  2. I sincerely hope so. They need to stop wasting their time touring and concentrate all their time and effort into putting out more albums. Their career is in it's twilight, good new music is the only thing that can possibly improve their legacy at this point. No one gives a hoot about nostalgia tours.
  3. Who knows what their plans were when they finished the 2019 tour. There no way that our capitalist world won’t rush us back to normality at the earliest possible opportunity.

U2 will be back. I’m not sure it will be stadiums again but they’ll be touring and it will be arenas at least. I’d love them to go smaller but the money men pulling the strings won’t have it.
  4. I wouldn't be mad if they didn't tour anymore. I would say my enthusiasm has declined quite a bit since 2019.
  5. It wouldn't surprise me if it happened. Something this impactful can cause tremendous social upheveal.
  6. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of them touring. Who knows how long we’ll be living with the restrictions Covid has brought just now but I don’t think this is the way things will be forever. They’ll get it under control then things can return to normal again but it’s just the when that’s the question. For the band there are options when it comes to touring. If they maybe allow gigs but with a reduced capacity they could just play stadiums which even with the reduced capacity could hold about the same as an arena. New music and more tours I’m confident of in the future.
  7. Hello from Australia 🇦🇺

    Not yet!
Why do you ask? Because of the covid?
I think we have to wait until 2022.
  9. And then 2023...2024...etc

    ...er....well....
  11. Assuming nothing is happening until 2022 we could get another situation where we get another four tours in five years.
  12. Hope we have not seen the last of them in tours but if so then I can forever tell with pride that I was bodily present there on U2's last ever concert in Mumbai.
