1. I’m not trying to take the negative comments out of other threads, which I think are still important to express, but rather start a different sort of discussion with fans who at the moment feel like being a fan is becoming challenging. The thread title is the question but I also want to know a brief bit about all our u2 journeys, how we got to this point, how you’ve felt along the way and how you’re feeling right now. Positive views welcome as well obviously if you don’t consider this part of the bands career a low point and when was the time you most felt out of touch with what the band were doing.
  2. I think SOS itself isn't a low point, although it does look like it was a Bono and Edge project.

Playing Vegas without Larry is a low point.
  3. To me stuff like Adam's recent interview and his and Larry's seeming lack of involvement is more disappointing than anything else. The album was what they focused on and agreed to put the U2 name to, and I'm all for them remaining creative. As I've paraphrased before, if it keeps them interested it's not going to be bullshit for us, even though many don't like the direction of SoS. I'm still quite interested in hearing the rest of SoS. Will I replace my playlists and mp3s? Probably not, but I'm enjoying hearing how they've treated some of the songs thus far, especially Stories For Boys and Wild Horses. Not necessarily better, they're just different. Choosing to play a handful of shows without Larry is disappointing, but I respect their decision and choice for a temporary drummer. I hope anyone who goes to Vegas has a blast, I won't go because I'd rather see the whole band. I take Larry's words at face value, and am hoping for his good health and speedy recovery. I guess fan morale could be at a general low point, but I think it's not really a surprise that Larry would need some kind of major surgery and rehab given his well-documented history of injuries. Hoping for the best is all we can do
  4. U2 choosing to play shows with 25% of the band and its founder member missing , it's a career low.
  5. Do we really need new thread for this?
  6. We don’t really ‘need’ a new thread for anything. But I think this is a good topic to discuss where fans are at in general with the band just now, it isn’t just about SOS and vegas, that might be what has got them here but it’s to express overall what is going wrong about the band from a fans perspective. If we’re being so picky we could say we don’t ‘need’ a new thread for every individual song on SOS, we could still discuss they songs in the general thread but they separate threads still exist so what’s the harm?

You’ve been here for 6 days dude lmao
  8. I sure as hell hope it doesn’t get any lower than this. This is imo the lowest point of the bands career, and it’s not even close.
  9. The threads / forums operate a certain way, reducing the amount of new ones is preferred and when you can consolidate you should.

You’ve been here for a week so you clearly don’t know that, hence why @Alvin pointed it out
