1. I heard this before
  2. Oh for sure. Like Ordinary Love, every Breaking Wave and some others, the imagination put into "reimagining" this song has been literally zero.
  3. Agreed. We had an acoustic version released 20 years ago.
I really thought they were gonna go for the piano + drums they have played recently.
What a wasted opportunity and a waste of space!
  4. The vocal is probably better than the original, way more dynamic. That falsetto bend is something he couldn't have done in 2001. He is singing the 'and if the night..' falsetto along with Edge (hitting C#), which is pretty hard to sing. Never heard him doing that before
  5. I think their vocals at the Tiny Desk Concert are better than the version they put on the album
  6. The Edge is a multi-millionaire. I'm Shure he could afford a better microphone for his acoustic guitar. And proves that compression is a very dangerous toy in the wrong hands.

Bass guitar also compressed to hell and so thin it's not really a bass guitar.

Good vocal apart from the ending with its silly 'just a moment' tweeness
  7. This one was a waste. We have a recorded acoustic performance already and this is their preferred live version. Bono really committed to the extended ‘just a moment’ outtro

I hate when they extend the "Just a moment" final part. Not only because I prefer when the song ends with a bang, but also because repeating "it's just a moment" for half a minute kinda defeats the purpose of the verse itself So ironic.

They created a moment they were stuck in….. I’m at least happy to have a recorded version of that version now!
