1. This whole Vegas thing is a bummer to me.

Thinking of watching Bono, Edge, and Adam do a tour without Larry is too much. It’s literally NOT U2 and I don’t think they should call it that.

    My 2 cents anyway.
  2. 100% agree. This ain’t a U2 tour. And I won‘t attend a single show with this band line-up.
  3. 100% agree for me 2
  4. Nope, it ain't U2. But do we realy need another thread for this?
  5. This whole era is just odd. First a corona-time inspired , unplugged style re-release that gets lots of promo, and now Sphere shows with 3/4 of the band.

I dont think this is U2. And leaving Larry out after everyone waited for Bono during 360 and the delay on Vertigo for Edges daughter...Just leaves a bad tiste.
  6. This is a tree leg band, not U2. I won't gonna see this band live. No Larry, no U2. With Paul McGuinnes as a manager they would have never signed such a contract.
    Agree?

The contract was signed when it looked like Larry could play. McGuinness would have likely had them honour the contract…
  8. It is U2 if they all sign off on it... granted I won't be going because I'd rather see all of them, especially celebrating their masterpiece AB. I just hope Larry returns
  9. No tickets have been sold and the venue isn't even finished been built yet ,they could easily wiggle out of it as they are a man down no doubt there is clause there if any of them aren't able to do the gigs the fact that they've agreed to this way in advanced knowing Larry won't be available is extremely worrying for the future of the band,IMO.
  10. It's not U2 without Larry.

McGuninness would never have allowed this.

Lots of management misfires since he retired.

As I've said before, even if Larry is ok with it, Bono, Edge, and Adam should NOT be ok with it. It's a betrayal of one of the most important principles of this band.

If this is the future (i.e. no Larry), they should have the courage to say that. If it's just a one off, then, no, it should not happen.

As a fan I cringed at the SOI debacle, though it didn't really bother me since I like free U2 music. This, on the other hand, really bothers me as a fan.
