Originally posted by podiumboy:So I've heard rumor that U2 cancelled a 2nd Popmart show in Philadelphia after very few tickets were sold. The initial show on June 8 was sold out. But I can't find any info about this cancelled second show. Was it supposed to be on June 7 or June 9? Maybe the Tibetan Freedom gig on June 7 was a convenient excuse to cancel a show that was selling poorly?
Popmart was the first tour I ever experienced and followed, so I would be interested to know what the date was with for cancelled show. Did anybody have tickets for it? The cancelled Raleigh show is often talked about, but not this one. Thanks for any info that can be provided.
Another thing seldomly mentioned is the Nov 19, 1997 show in Indianapolis that was announced with all the other tour dates, but never went on sale.
