  1. My replacement model arrived yesterday and it had the same issue. Apparently it effects all LCDs made by Philips. From reading some forums I've worked out it's actually a HDR issue. Turn that off and it does look better, but still not the same as the other TV's in the house. Philips have emailed me some instructions to try.
  2. I tried the instructions and sent Philips the results. After a month or so of me asking if there was any updates and receiving the same answer of "we're still investigating" they emailed me to say as a gesture of good will they will be exchanging my current model for an OLED.

    The model they were offering retails for £1,500 however I noticed their top of the range OLED had a built in Bowers and Wilkins soundbar. I tried my luck and asked if I could receive that model instead. This one retails for £2000 and they said yes! It arrived today and I set it up earlier. I'm really happy with it and I can finally watch dark lit scenes in good quality now! Originally I bought a £400 LCD model but ended up with a 2 grand OLED model just because I complained to Customer Support .

    Haha great stuff, congrats! I had something similar with a laptop a few years ago, ASUS gave me a top laptop and even let me keep the faulty one (which was pretty much usable anyway)

  8. Of course Apple have their own version of FLAC..

    Although it seems like ALAC is actually superior to FLAC, and you can easily convert FLAC to ALAC so it plays in the native Apple Music app.
  9. I normally give Apple a lot of shit about their services, such as iTunes and iCloud. However, the fact that you can now cleanly and easily organise your iTunes library so each artist have their own folder, followed by subfolders for different tours is great. It also looks amazing in the native Apple Music app on iOS. This was always something I thought Android lacked. I don't think my OnePlus 6T even had a native local music player app!
  10. I use pCloud as music storage place. Has its own media player which plays Flac.
  11. Anyone use a flagship Samsung phone? What they like nowadays?
