  1. are songs like Electrical Storm and Window In The Skies made specily for Best Ofs or would they turn up on studio albums other wise?

    I'm guessing they were worked on for previous albums but wern't finished in time or just wern't good enough although most artists who release Greatest Hits compilations also record maybe 2 new tracks to accompany it. You don't want to sell the fans the same songs they already have and nothing else so a few new tracks (one being a single to coincide with release to build some hype) are released also.

    I know HM, TM, KM, KM was worked on during Zooropa. I think with U2 it's usually because they're not finished.
