1. If they're smart, they'll keep KOBK around for future tours, that song is otherwordly live!
  2. I hope so. My favourite song of the album is YMMFLIH. I hope they will play that song on future tours.
  3. Is this new to coincide with XX?
  4. No this is an older video. There is also a making of Resistance and making of 2nd Law. This video has been around for years but now for the first time on the official Muse channel to promote the XX release.
  5. Unraveling

I’m put off by the title alone. I wish he’d find something else to write about. Although I could be completely wrong and eat my words when I actually hear it but I have not been able to enjoy anything this band does in such a long time.
  6. If I was asked to write down what I’d want the next album to sound like, it’d be something like Unravelling (based off the live version). Happy to see them experimenting with different tunings (in this case an 8-string guitar) and it’s a great blend of their electronic and hard rock style.

I just hope this isn’t a case of the past few albums and there’s only one or two songs like this. I need something more cohesive from them with less of the done to death, cringe ‘us vs them’ rhetoric.

Also, I’m glad to see they’ve finally started to play some of the big hits tuned down a half step (TIRO and Knights). It’s long overdue.
  7. I liked it more than most of their other recent stuff, so that's promising!
  8. Does anyone get the new Muse single?

    unravelling
  9. It's out tomorrow, you can listen to the live version on YouTube but the the official release is tomorrow.
  10. Well, after giving the initial hype some time to settle down, I can honestly say I absolutely love Unravelling. I feel like it's a perfect blend of everything I enjoy about the band; moody synth arpeggios, a soaring chorus (bolstered by an excellent vocal performance from Matt) and some filthy low-tune riffage. Seriously, that chorus sounds like Fury and Stockholm Syndrome had a baby and wouldn't feel out of place on Absolution/BHaR.

According to Matt, the song was written because the band were booked in to play some heavy rock festivals this year (filling in for Foo Fighters) and isn't a lead single for a new album. However, the 8-string guitar used to write the song has apparently given him a whole new burst of inspiration and he's said it will feature on their next release, which they're aiming to get out at some point in 2026.
