1. This version doesn't even medal for me of Real Thing videos.

  2. Awesome video !! Awesome camera work and editing !! It won best music video in 1992 at MTV video music awards for its innovative camera work.
  3. This is the version with the 'removable faces' and Cicciolina and the quote "Is it pornography or is it art?"

    It is a unique edit.
  4. I've got this feeling that when they finish remastering the videos until SOE, then we will get their last album
  5. Seriously can't wait to have the Lemon video back on youtube
  6. Why would they "remaster" videos that are 3-6 years old? I can't see them remastering any further than NLOTH, and even that would be pushing it since the NLOTH vids are available in full HD already iirc.

That’s my thought too. The last album they’d need to remaster videos for would be No line on the horizon
  8. sorry I meant No Line, it's catching up with the ones already in HD!
  9. I wouldn't worry about it. This isn't a U2 project, and it's likely not to be tied to any big U2 project ahead. It's a project between YouTube and Universal that goes back to 2019. They've been not only doing U2 videos but also videos from other artists like Lady Gaga, Billy Idol, Gwen Stefani and The Killers. Each is using the same #Remastered tag as they work their way through the catalog.

Not only that, but Guy Oseary also has his other artist doing the same. Madonna is also currently upgrading all her videos.

We posted about the bigger project here: https://www.u2songs.com/news/a_closer_look_at_u2s_video_refresh

The whole thing is being done by Maverick / Universal in conjunction with YouTube. U2's had little to do with it all, other than to provide some of the raw video footage.

That's interesting insight as usual. So it wasn't a U2 decision in the first place (that I can understand), but also they didn't have a say about which videos got treated and which didn't? That's more surprising. Having started with ATYCLB and having left out some videoclips I would have guessed the band had more to say than just provide the raw videos and just sit there waiting for the Youtube checks to arrive at the mail, so to speak.
