Gerard's post after The Suburbs was released kind of summarizes it:

Ten years. Hard to believe. My first taste of the Suburbs was live. I got into a pre-release show at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto. They debuted a number of new songs that night including Month of May, City with No Children, Rococo, The Suburbs, and more. I had hopped on a plane to be there not even knowing for sure if they were playing a show...glad that rumour paid off...
Followed them around for a while on that tour. Seeing them headline at the Osheaga Festival in Montreal, taking in four shows in the UK in the middle of snow storms and bitter temperatures, and finally seeing them here at home as well as opening for U2 in Moncton...It'll always be one of my favourite albums because of the memories of that tour. I rarely pick up and listen to the album, this one is always a live one to me...
