1. i'd like to know your opinion... of all the U2 shows you've either attended or heard which show was bono's voice at it's best???
  2. rattle n hum dvd for me.
his performance of with or without you is a perfect 10 technique wise.
    truely awesome.
  3. Rattle and Hum for me too.
  4. He's very good at Rattle And Hum performances (1987-12-19/20, 1987-11-08), almost all the second leg of the Lovetown tour is also fantastic, and in singular and rare concert, for example at Dortmund 1984-11-21, at Dublin 1993-08-28 and in Sydney 1993-11-26/26.
But it's a very hard question, there are about 100 BEST performances for me !!!
  5. Specially the concerts of Dublin
  6. Dublin,1989-12-31
Cleveland, 2001-05-03 (Beautiful Night In Cleveland)
    London, 1997-08-23 (An Emotional Goodbye)
    Denver,1983-06-05 (Red Rocks)
    Saitama,2006-12-04
    Honolulu 2006-12-09

.............to name but 6.I think his voice got better as the tour ended.Does anyone remember the show that Bono himself said was his best ever performance? I'm not sure, but I think it was on the Elevation Tour.

Bono says something like that every few months
  8. Is right. On the same lines as "The Edge is on fire at the moment!".I see what you're saying.Be nice to know what show it was though.I read it somewhere and thought "I'll download that".........but never did.

Lol, that's quite interesting, if anyone remebers it tell, I'll download only to get that sentece!! Bono rules!!

  10. bono said at the making of the window in the skies video in a melbourne pub the day after the 2nd melbourne show in november that that last performance was their best in recent times...
  11. He was right about that!
  12. As I've unfortunately never been to a concert I would say Slane Castle, Rattle and Hum and POPMART Mexico City were Bono's best vocal performances. In the Joshua Tree era, his voice simply had this great big hollow sound to it. Perfect for filling stadiums. By late 90s/early 00s his voice started to sound amazing simply from singing for so long. The Elevation Tour was the last time his voice sounded good. I am listening to the 2001-10-25 show at MSG right now, and he is flawless. His Vertigo performances have been very uneven, but on the whole not as good as in years past.
