1. in my opinion it's a pity i haven't found any Pearl Jam topic, but maybe i'm too myope..
so i seize the occasion of the release of Eddie Vedder single, "Longing to belong", which can be listened here.
i haven't had the opportunity to give it a listen yet but it seems it's just Eddie and ukulele
  2. It is indeed just Eddie, an ukelele (or two) and a backing violin/cello. Some nice lyrics, and a overall very wonderful song

I like Pearl Jam. My dad is a huge fan and I've listened plenty of times to most of their discography... My interest mostly grew after they performed with U2 in 2006 though.
  3. Although they aren't as popular as they were a decade (or shall I say almost TWO decades) ago, Pearl Jam is a fantastic band. One of the greatest of the past 20 years, if not "all-time." I am old enough to have listened to every one of their releases before the next one was issued (i.e., I've been listening to them since 1992) and I could say that their music (along with U2, Radiohead, and Oasis) would provide quite a soundtrack for my life - especially the university days. All that being said, I have only seen them once in concert (New Zealand, 1998) in which they were promoting their "Yield" album (underrated if you ask me) and where they played a ton of hits from their first three albums. I even have a "plaqued" poster (which my wife hates ) from that leg of the tour.
  4. at first listening beautiful song .. very sweet .. good following of Into the wild soundtrack.
yeah also for me Pearl Jam are really a great band .. magnificent musicians and Eddie what a singer, intense and very expressive voice, wonderful interpretions of the songs .. and live? very few bands can be compared to Pearl Jam

i watched them the first time in 1993 in Verona and they were supporter of U2 .. how times change

I thought there were also a supporter of U2 in 2006 or am I wrong ??
  6. right sort of in Hawaii .. and they played one song with Vedder and McCready
  7. Vedder's new song is alright. His new album will be interesting.

I'm a big fan...one of my best friends loves PJ like we love U2, so I've been exposed to quite a bit. I'm in the minority of people who love Vs. more than Ten, in terms of their early days. In fact, I enjoy it a LOT more...

They've got a big year ahead of them, with all these anniversary plans they've been spouting off. Hosting their own festival and what not. I'd love to see them.
  8. Double

  9. i would choose Ten but only for a matter of affection otherwise i wouldn't know which one to get

  10. Give me Vs. any day. To me, a much more diverse album - and easier on the ears.
  11. ohgod
