  6. His voice to me was like a stream
Scarce heard, nor word from word could I divide
And the whole body of the man did seem
Like one whom I had met in a dream
Sam Beckett dreamt of other roads
Sam Beckett dreamt of other lands
Of another home, of another home...
Where the streets have no name.
    Take me... TAKE ME!

Where the Streets Have No Name, live in Dublin 26 December 1989
Probably my very favourite Streets, if I had to pick just one.

The very thought that I could hear this song live in person for the very first time next month is so tantalising... But knowing that I live in a world where this song EXISTS, where people have heard this song, that it is more than a dream and that this is something that we have, here, in OUR broken, shitty, terrible, beautiful world, THIS SONG.... That is unbelievable. I'm sitting here, literally crying, like a stupid sap, over this song and over this band.

I love this song, I love this band, I love all of you here. It's all I can do.... I can do it!

Love that, not good at ranking stuff, but that version of Streets is definitely one of my favourites of all time.
