Even Better Than The Real Thing - 49.8%

The question of this new You Too is:

Which setlist fact of the South American-leg do you like most?

    - The appearance of Out Of Control
    - The appearance (twice) of Zooropa
    - The comeback of Even Better Than The Real Thing
    - The unusual out-of-Australasia performance of One Tree Hill
    - The Solo Le Pido A Dios and The Model covers
    - Just the fact that they mixed it up sometimes
    - I don't like any of them

Please vote on the frontpage of the website, in this thread you can tell us why you voted for your answer.
Your vote is valued! Thank you!
  2. Zooooorrrrrooooopaaaaaaaaaaa
  3. Dream out loud
  4. I think I won't vote this time. Just can't decide between Zooropa and Real Thing.
  5. Zooropa.
  6. Zooropa by a landslide
  7. i don't think i even need to say!
  8. I knew Zooropa would outvote all the rest options ... hahaha!!

I go for Even Better, though. Zooropa is one of my favorite songs ever (in my top ten!), but going with EBTTRT as opener proved more balls by them, and was a strongest surprise for us following the setlist party live...
  9. Even Better Than The Real Thing

Purely because of it being such an awesome opener, and it was a great way to bring it back.
  10. Easy decision for me; seeing your all-time favourite song performed for the first time in 18 years (and brilliantly so) was the highlight of the S American concerts for me.

It wasn't as big a surprise as EBTTRT, even if I had heard them rehearsing that a week before in Santiago.

As to which is more ballsy it's tough to say. Zooropa is very much for the hard core fans of a band which has a huge casual following. Suppose the lights show is to keep them interested. EBBTTRT is at least more known (the Perfecto Mix finished close enough to the original version in the UK charts if I'm not mistaken).

Depends: Do you think it's a tough decision for the band on whether to play lesser-known tracks?

I don't think it takes much balls to open up a show with perhaps the 3rd biggest hit from their second best selling album. Getting rid of the weak fan favorite remix of I'll Go Crazy would take some balls, and playing something real from Pop instead of the ridiculous remix would take balls. Next thing you know someone on here would say playing With or Without You takes balls. Ok, joking on that, but Zooropa is the best decision they have made in more than A Little While. Putting Breathe back in would be the right thing to do.
