  2. I guess I would have been 14. Achtung Baby hit me at an interesting time (Ha, that age is pretty much a blast for everyone, I'm sure). From there I bought Vertigo//Chicago, and well...the rest is history

14 ish... I saw U2 perform at the Grammys and Vertigo hit me like a ton of bricks. And they cleaned house that year and thought, "who is this band!?" and then I got Bomb and the Vertigo Chicago DVD and Original of the Species (the Chicago version and iPod commercial) and Sometimes You Can't Make it all spoke to me haha. How weird since now the only songs from that album that i listen to is Miracle Drug and COBL.
  4. I was around 14, my cousin asked me to buy Popmart on VHS as I was working in town, That weekend i had a free house i moved my Sony hi-fi down stairs and managed to connect the Hi-Fi to the Video player. Drink was something i didnt do back then but i was hooked on this Video from Mofo to the very end, Little did i know i would be very greatful to this day for my cousin to introduce such a wonderful and amazing band. Not a day goes by without hearing U2... Bring on the next Album....
  5. I wonder if there's something to say about a band that we're all so obsessed with hitting us at such a crucial turning point in our lives? If I hadn't discovered U2 until just this year, at the age of 21, would I still end up as big of a fan as I am now?
  6. when i watched the Brazil broadcast, i said, wow! strong voice, amazing stage, cool hair, jacket and glasses! then, i borrowed Slane dvd from a friend. So, the best way to the "common dude" to become an U2 fan.
  7. What's with this band and the age 14?! I was 14 too, went to the cinema and watched Gangs of New York...guess what happened next?
