    I will follow
    Vertigo
    Beautiful Day
    Elevation
    Pride
    One
    Sunday Bloody Sunday
    New Years Day

I don’t believe any of these have been dropped for an entire tour before.
Of the 18 shows I've seen over 35 years, IWF and NYD have only been missing from the set list once. As much as I love them and all of the songs on your list, I think you're right, it's time to be bold and give some of these staples a rest. Bring back Out of Control or Electric Co from Boy instead, or something like Kite or New York from ATYCLB,

On the other hand, I don't like to focus too much on individual songs.. as long as they put on a great show, I'm fine with whatever they play..

Exactly, this is my attitude as well. I can hope for a certain song or whatever. But as long as I get to see a great U2 show, it doesn't really matter.
I agree on Beautiful Day also, update in some way. Like the first and second leg of 360 with the long intro. It seemed a little fresher that way. My wife would be upset if they dropped it though, it is her favorite U2 song. (She likes them but is not a diehard like me)
  3. Honestly, I think a perfect set list would be 10 war horses for casuals, 7 new songs, and 5-6 songs for the die hards. That gives you your standard 22-23 song set.

With that being said, the set list for Berlin was 10/10. We got your typical One, Beautiful Day, Elevation, etc. but we also got Gloria, Dirty Day, Zoo Station, The Fly, Acrobat, etc.

Yeah I know, Elevation and Vertigo are boring (even lyrically dumb) but most crowds go nuts with them. Doesn't matter how much I despise and bash them online, I find myself jumping and singing along to both of them (and for all the other tiring warhorses like Pride or SBS)
  5. Elevation is boring except for on Elevation and JT17/19 when it had the Larry camera.
  6. The last 2018 show in Dublin had a wild setlist. Who ever thought Dirty Day, Gloria, and Zoo Station would all be played together in the same show in this century?

Only problem with the Berlin set is it had songs written after 2009
  8. The only problem with Berlin is it didn’t have enough songs written after 2009. A few innocence songs in place of the likes of elevation and vertigo would have been ideal. Still it was the best Setlist and show I’ve witnessed in person.
  9. It is funny you say that. I think "musically" it may be the worst versions with the slow intro. But I had a friend who is a complete U2 novice and he went to see them on Vertigo for the first time because he likes concerts and they are a big name. The next day he told me he thought it was awesome and said "What is that Whooo hoo song, man, that was fun, the place erupted when they did that!"

And that is why Elevation is played.
  10. I need Lemon or New York someday
