1. Originally posted by thejonner:I remember watching this on the night and hearing it again is a real nostalgia trip for me. It was the first thing I ever recorded on video from TV. It was a Channel 4 broadcast, as I remember, and there was lots of footage from Jamaica showing the destruction wrought by the hurricane. It even had Frank Bruno (I THINK - feel free to correct me) visiting relatives on the island, listening to their stories. I seem to remember - and, again, I may be wrong - U2 having this performance somewhat foisted upon them. Someone - God only knows who - mentioned that they would be performing at the benefit before that had even been asked, much less confirmed. At that point, to say they weren't going to do it would have looked terrible, so they went ahead and did it, almost because they couldn't NOT do it.

Does any of this sound familiar to anyone else, or have I just pulled this out of thin air? God, I hope not, because it may mean I need to get a CAT scan.

Nice post thanks for enlighting me

I found out about this show on a u2 night at Remy's

Looks like Bono talked bullshit once more. Not hip to play benefit shows in 80s? U2/Bono didn't play benefits in the nineties? But he lives in his own world anyway

Haha we can pick hundreds of such bullshit quotes..
  4. Anyone care to enlighten me about that rules thingy?

  5. You might be right, we didn't know that and decided just to leave it like this. Show is too old anyway for anyone to bother about it. So we can just continue discussing about the show itself rather than it's right to be available here or not, we're aware, thanks for making us
  6. Thanks. But I wasn't soo much referring to this show (it's just one track on an out of print single anyway).
I was more curious about the broadcast stuff LikeASong mentioned...

As far as I can tell you are right about that too.
  8. So sharing the New Years's show for example is okay then?

Sorry for being a pain in the ass here, I'm just confused why it wasn't allowed and now is or maybe not...

No it isn't, that's why it isn't available on the show pages. (I see that is actually is available, but it shouldn't be, that's a bug which we'll fix )
  10. Sydney's show is not allowed! It is a bug, it should hide the show and show the yellow message. The yellow message is shown, but the source isnt deleted :S

That bug is my mistake ! I am positive it used to work
  11. Okay then, makes sense.
    Thanks for making that clear.

  12. Bug is fixed, sorry guys I wonder why no one reports bugs like this
