  8. From what I've experienced/heard, it's safer than IE. I don't use Firefox so I'm not sure what the security is like, but it seems to be more like a tamer Windows Vista- there are prompts every time you go to download something with an .exe extension, and the browser also takes you to a warning page before allowing you onto a site it has found harmful material on. You have a backout option to take yourself back to safety, or you can check a box that says "I understand this site may have material that could harm my computer: proceed anyway"

    I really love it. No problems encountered so far.

    sounds good enough for me, thanks, Matt will give it a try for some days and then decide if I like it better than good ol' Firefox

You'll like it, Kirsten, sort of a fast-and-tidy-up browser.I'm a self-declared Firefox fan, but I can swear that Chrome can be more useful in determinate situations (when you have to do an extra quick search or when FF crashes , for example). On the downside, Chrome isn't as customizable as Firefox...

    I don't have IE installed anymore, and keep FF as my main browser and Chrome as the "just in case" one.
