I haven't listened to a band other than Green Day in the last 4 days. I'm addicted to them, at the moment.

I recently bought Awesome as F**k too, and Geek Stink Breath on the CD + DVD is just seriously outstanding:

You will kill me after that but I saw Green Day in Rock Werchter Festival and I was in first row and Billie Joe hit me in my hand and He talk with me
  5. they used to be one of my favourite bands, but i haven't been through a green day 'phase' in years.

they're probably the best pop punk band going though, and they have some really underrated tracks such as Stuart and the Ave., Redundant and Macy's Day Parade.

Warning and Insomniac are their best albums imo. damn, i need to get back into them!

...you are extremely lucky. I have never had the chance to see Green Day because both times on 21st Century Breakdown, I wasn't able to go
  7. Also, 21st Century Breakdown Tour was just simply epic, by looking at the sets. 30-40 song sets, on for 2-3 hours too. Plus, they played loads of old material which is the thing I love most. They were rotating 2000 Light Years Away, Paper Lanterns, Christie Road, Going to Pasalacqua, Who Wrote Holden Caulifield & loads more. That's why I really wish I set aside all commitments and just went. But even then, tickets were solid to get.
  8. Solid band. Saw them several years ago with Blink 182 - Green Day was much, much better. Billy Joe Armstrong has got to get rid of the eyeliner, however.
  9. alright, i'm officially back into them.

just been looking up some of their recent setlists, 30-40+ songs, that's astounding, like a 3 hour show or something? mental, definitely get your money's worth with these guys nowadays.

I went to a GD gig last year: +-36 songs in three f**ing hours.
By the end of the set, during the slower songs, I figured out I was seriously dehydrated lol
Also, their tickets are really cheap

That happened to me 2 weeks ago. It was mainly the older stuff (39/Smooth, Kerplunk, Dookie, Insomniac).

And yeah, 30-40 songs. That's great. Plus, they were playing stuff that isn't really recognisable with casual fans, which is brilliant. I wish I tried harder for tickets...
  12. Listening to American Idiot right now, Holiday is a very good track.

I think that both Muse and U2 know how to rock way harder than GD when they try though.
