1. Richard's playing in Amsterdam tonight, in a club that U2 refer to as "The Milky Way"...

  2. Is it finally out? I thought it was due to be released in March, then it got postponed and I somehow ceased to watch any news about Ashcroft. I've heard only one or two tracks by United Nations of Sound so far.
  3. I've downloaded a bootleg where they play most of the new stuff. None of it has been released yet

  4. I suppose sharing is illegal, then.

    PM?
  5. Nothing much illegal about an audience recording of a concert.
  6. LOVE The Verve. My 2nd favourite band after The Beatles. Everything they've done has been brilliant. Ashcroft's solo stuff is good, but not as good as Verve's stuff.

just joking... Welcome to the forums!

  8. A Storm In Heaven (1993) Listen to the first Album
    The best of The Verve
  9. BUMP!!!!!

I love this band, Urban Hymns is ofcourse a great album. But their other stuff is great too. And live they were also magnificent.

Other members here who like them?
  10. I like them. I think Urban Hymns got itself quite a few votes in the toplist, didn't it? I'm also a fan of Richard Ashcroft's solo material.
  11. Just paying a full listen to Urban Hymns for the first time in ages, what a great album. So easy on the ear, yet complex and heartfelt. Sonnet, Drugs, Lucky Man, Velvet Morning and Come On are all truly superb. The Rolling People still sounds like a shameless Oasis copy, but it's a fantastic copy.
  12. Indeed one of the great albums of the 1990's.

(I noticed that you didn't list Bittersweet Symphony in your post!)
