1. Every month we put a U2 fan in the spotlight. The fan of the month for November 2017 is user bushido529. Read along for the interview we had with this U2 fan.

"EXIT!!! That's always been my favorite track in the album. Hearing it live twice is unforgettable."

Tell us something about yourself, who are you and what do you do for a living?
Hello, my name is Chris but rather go by the name of Bushido. I recently turned 23 and live in Orange County, CA. I'm an IT technician as my income but my main hobbies are recording music and making films.

How did you become a fan of U2, tell us how it happened?
Ever since I remember I was always a metal fan. Disturbed, Korn, Drowning Pool etc.. my pops would always put on the Slane Castle Dvd. I always thought "Who's that annoying music playing" I always put on my headphones. My first real exposure to the band would be when my Dad took me to see U2 3D in Imax theaters. I was blown away. Never felt alive during any music being played. So my dad bought the Vertigo Tour dvd and we watched it together. Then I ripped all the albums and put it on my mp3 player. What an incredible journey that was 2007. 2 years later NLOTH came out. I was blown away. Loved every track on it, even SUC hahaha. My dad surprised me with tickets for U2 360 Rose Bowl. It was on my birthday. Wow 8 years ago. That changed my life and made me into a hardcore fan. Can't wait for SOE!

You've attended the 360 and I+E tours. What was it like?
I did 3 shows during the 360 tour. Rose Bowl and both Anahiem Shows. Those were incredible. Since they were different legs same tour. They were completely different. Amazing. Especially Anaheim 2.

What are your highlights of the JT30 tour? How does it compare to previous U2 tours?
EXIT!!! That's always been my favorite track in the album. Hearing it live twice is unforgettable. It's my least favorite tour due to personal reasons. But the whole show was great. Encore was weak though.

What is your favorite Song of Experience so far and why?
Little Things. It's one of those songs you can relate to. And really breaks your heart. It sounds like a end of era. The ending has a bitter sweet feeling. The End Is Near. It's their best song since MOS.

What songs do you want the band to bring back for the next tour? Which songs need a rest?
U2 needs to revisted Pop. Especially Please. I think it fits the Experience theme.
The songs that need rest is Pride, Elevation, One and WOWY.

Do you see SOE and the E+I tour as the last ones in U2's career or do you think there will be more?
I don't know and I don't want to think about it.

If there would be only one U2 song you could hear the rest of your life, which one would it be and why?
The Unforgettable Fire. It's the song that made want to play music. If you look at the layers of it, it's complicated yet simple.

How different is U2 compared to other artists that you like?
U2 is different than the other bands i like because I can relate to the songs, especially SOI. It's like that album was my life story. Especially with Iris but with my Grandma instead. Which Nov 5th is the 10th anniversary of her death.

What are your hobbies and interests away from U2, musical or otherwise?
My main hobby is making films with my friends. You can check out my work on my YouTube channel. Youtube.com/c/BushidoCavalier

  7. Thanks guys. Very honoured to be Fan of the month. Yeah even though I hate the Rose Bowl dvd due to the editing and they macheted Breathe, it holds a special place in my heart. My first show on my 15th birthday and I can relive the night anytime I want on my Blu Ray player.
