    I've added this to the 2017-05-21 Pasadena CA show page / audio tab

    The Hoserama/Sharebear iem-aud matrixes have really become a genre of their own. In this resect the Pasadena 2 matrix is a safe 4.5 star bootleg with minor clean-up residue. The mix, however, is quite perfectly balanced with Chrisedge's audio recording* providing a nice live concert feel & sound. Played over the speakers it is really pleasant

    Compared with the 4.5 star Blackout "bono iem" this iem-aud matrix is much more complete as a bootleg. Therefore the full 5 star rating seems once again appropriate and well deserved

    *Chrisedge source = AT933 (mics)+ Sony M10 (rec.) with a CA 9200 (pre-amp)

  6. Can anyone clarify if the quality of Pasadena 521 Moonchild Records is a sounboard or was a recording used that is already here?

    Hoserama wil be humbled that you've rated it ☆☆☆☆☆ once again But after listening to a sample, well I can't say I disagree. This is as good as an "amateur" (not really amateur) recording gets.

    Highly doubt it's anything other than existing recordings. Likely the single cooked Bono feed by blackout.

    I'm not familiar with this bootleg. Likely indeed it has the Blackout iem source, but if the fine Joshua Tree 87 soundboard releases by Moonchild are any indication, they could have remastered it, or even mixed in an audience source with good result.

    Can you upload the bootleg - or just a sample?
  10. I doubt they mix in another aud. I shudder to think if they did additional remastering. Blackout heavily cooked it already.
  12. For a lot of bootlegs, anything other than an aud recording equates to a soundboard. And then you listen to the Exit from the bono feed and gear the wicked loud click track, scratch your head, and go "Soundboard?!?"
