1. I have Achtung from the Uber Deluxe set that came out years ago now (jeez), but I’m thinking of double dipping...

Just got to have 2 record players

(I have none, but I'm just sayin' )
  3. That would be an option too yeah:-)

Just out of curiosity, did you never feel the need to purchase a turntable or is it just not your thing? ?

Indeed, it has to with quality. The "louder" you can cut vinyl, the higher the quality, as imperfections would be relatively smaller, allowing more dynamics and more low frequency content.

Louder vinyl means deeper, wider grooves, which in turn means that a section of music will take up more space on the LP.

I personally think there is an advantage as well, some albums, Pop and AB come to mind, flow very well in threes. This is a happy coincidence as they were never recorded with the limitations of vinyl in mind.

Anyway, I've got Zooropa on order. It will be waiting for me when I return from holiday.
  5. Recordings.masterings are different today
The old vinyls sound better just because the needle lets the sound "explode" out of the groove.the music has been "pressed" into the grooves just For need of Space.the needle lets it all out
Now.if we Got ...more Space ( two vinyls instead of one ) that means only that it can't explode out of the grooves anymore.
Then it has been "digitalized" and it has lost the original analog sound
That has been explained to me by an old famous italian musician ( Mussida from PFM .progressive italian band famous in the 70)
I hope i have been Clear in My explanation
  6. Just took delivery of the new vinyl reissues a day ahead of official release. To say the Zooropa double vinyl is fantastic is an understatement. Wonderful to see this reissue and in this format too. As for the other two, both are great to have but it is the Zooropa that is hitting the decks all night long!
If anyone else is getting these reissues you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

Did you get the Zooropa double vinyl as thats the main one in this recent trilogy of reissues.
  11. No because I literally just found a Zooropa pink vinyl at a record show. So no need for another one.
