1. I agree that the rework of Please was awesome. Aside from it I prefer all of the original mixes and versions. My favorite album since 1997. I feel alone in the belief that the original IGWSHA is better than the single. Meh!
  2. "Do you feel loved" would have been a great single they should never have released SATS it was the weakest track on the album IMO
  3. SATS was the best radio song on the album.

IGWSHA is the weakest single IMO, do you feel loved would sound better to me
  5. Different places different thoughts
I never liked DYFL except for the simple but effective bass lines that I like to play cos simple
SATS always worked better in acoustic and the album version doesn’t give me the same emotions
Like Please that works better in the single version or live with Streets
Pop for me is full of weak moments like Discotheque or DYFL
I really like Gone Please and WUDM
Personally i’d Rather remember the tour than play the album

POP was as far away from U2 that they ever went I remember people who never liked U2 up to that point really liking that album ,a song like MOFO even now sounds so off the scale for me it's one of the best song's they ever did even Discoteque is such an odd tune but it's one of their best singles from the 90s. It's such a shame they retreated back to more familiar sounds to appease their American audience.
  7. Awesome album!!!!
  8. Pop for me is a brilliant album both musically and thematically. What's weird though is how good the album is when you add all the reworked versions or single versions despite how different it ends up sounding
  9. Gave it a spin yesterday. The vinyl reissue sounds great! The album has aged well. Still love it!
  10. I still would love to listen to those demos that appear on that Hong Kong thing on YouTube. The full I’m Not Your Baby with Sinead O’Connor is the closest we’ll get but that MOFO demo is amazing.

The Mofo and Do You Feel loved both sound great. I'd love to hear them in full.
  12. Now I’m just going to go back to that “U2 in studio recording Pop” video... there’s a lot of interesting demos I’d love to hear in full. Even if U2 finally gets around to a Pop reissue I kind of doubt we’ll get to hear most of them :/
