  1. Yeah, you should set up a membership. The gift this year is really good and you should be gaurtenteed tickets to Auckland.
  2. Will Bono bring back the goal is soul in Seoul?

    Haha

Oh crap, it's our fault the announcement is delayed!
  4. Could it be that the concerts in Tokio and in Seoul are seated tickets in the standing area as well?
I was looking at Live Nation Japan, and they have the Backstreet Boys in Tokio. They perform at the same venue U2 is supposed to perform, and the entire standing area is reserved seats, except one small area right in front of the stage which is "Platinum", and these tickets are 100k yen, which is approx 800 EUR.
I know its not U2 but Backstreet Boys, but I've checked how they do it in Europe. The standing area is also divided in different parts, but everything seems to be standing at least.

In Korea, I've checked via Live Nation Korea, Thom Yorke, and you're forwarded to http://www.globalinterpark.com.
Its a different venue, and the area right in front of the stage is reserved seats, and the standing area is behind that.
This is also not U2, and a different venue, but I'm afraid that it will be the same with U2.
How was it when they played in Japan the last time? Has anyone been there?
If the GA is seated, I will skip Asia...

Any info would be great
So you're saying you're a current member of u2.com? If so, it's definitely worth participating in the presale.

ONCE THE TOUR IS ANNOUNCED, your presale code with appear on u2.com (when you are logged in). I haven't been a member recently, but from memory, the two places to find your presale code will be on the page u2.com/tour, & on your account profile page.

If you are interested in General Admission standing (GA) tickets - what many believe are the best tickets - the u2.com presale should make purchasing these tickets easier (this is particularly true for arena shows, where ticket numbers are much smaller).

For seated tickets, the presale may make it easier to get good seats. But be aware that in the past some people have complained about the quality of the seats they were offered in the presale. NOT ALL TICKETS are offered in the presale. So if you're not happy with the seats you are offered, it may be better to reject those, & try again (straight away).

As for the Live Nation (free) presale, last I checked, GA tickets weren't offered in this presale. But be aware that I didn't see the 360 shows in Australia, so am not sure if GA's were offered in the Live Nation presale. Hopefully someone will chime in with this information.

One other point, ticket pricing for concerts has changed quite a bit in the last few years. Previously the ticket sellers would hope for quick sellouts (which they used to market any additional concerts). Now the concert industry uses what's called "dynamic pricing". Where ticket prices vary depending on demand. Ticket prices to U2 concerts have been quite high for the last couple of tours (so be prepared for this). Ticket prices start quite high, if the concerts have been selling poorly, ticket prices are often reduced as the concert date approached. This has resulted in some absolute bargains in poorly selling concerts (like in the mid-west of the US). Be aware I'm talking about the primary ticket market, not the secondary (resale) market. No idea if this will be the case in this tour.

That will just be standing, like in 2006 at the Saitama Super Arena.

  7. Absolutely, do you have any doubts?

OK lets see what the standing/seats situation will be.. I won't spend 800 EUR on a GA ticket.
I though these might be regulations that are coming from the venue.
But we still don't know how it will be in Seoul.
  8. I had a look on YouTube at a video of Green Day playing an arena show in Seoul. Certainly appears that the GA was standing for that one.
  9. Ok good to know..
