Joshua Tree Tour 2019
Legs (1): New Zealand, Australia and Asia
Shows: 15
  1. They can force-fit the innocence experience narrative to this tour so at least they can show the rest of the world they have new music.

    Innocence section
    Joshua Tree section
    Experience section

Hence show is divided into 3 acts and gives this new audience the best of their last 3 tours.

    Cheers,

    J
  2. The more I think about it now the more I hope they ditch the whole Pre-JT > JT > Post-JT sequence (but I doubt they will). Just play something that WORKS and FLOWS! JT17 seems very stop and start and lacked a lot of flow. I mean, if it works to open the show with The Blackout the DO IT, if it works to play Beautiful Day in the opening segment of the show then DO IT. If it works to close the show with Out of Control and 40 then DO IT!

They've already said in interviews it will be Act I, Act II - The Joshua Tree, Act III
  4. Yeh I know that, but that's not my point.

"Act I" doesn't necessarily HAVE to all be Pre-JT songs
  5. Bummer. Where was this discussed mate?
  6. In the Electric Ladyland interview.
  7. Cheers. Listened to some of that, but missed that bit
  8. This is what I would like, which is decently realistic, I guess. But Elevation will be played for certain

    1. Sunday Bloody Sunday
    2. New Year's Day
    3. Bad / A Sort Of Homecoming
    4. Pride (In The Name Of Love)

    5-15 - The Joshua Tree

    16. The Blackout
    17. The Fly
    18. Vertigo
    19. Beautiful Day
    20. One
    21. Love Is Bigger
    22. Out Of Control / I Will Follow / 40

    Probably something like that.

I would be down for this (especially the encore). My only gripe would be to piss that horrible transition between Pride and Streets off... makes me cringe every time I hear it from JT17. Takes so much away from the Streets intro imo.

I've actually been thinking they might tack a couple of R&H songs on the end of the main set after JT. A 2 song slot where they can rotate Desire, Angel of Harlem, All I Want Is You and maybe a surprise R&H song.
  11. And rattle and hum was a huge album here. I think it will be hard for them to neglect it
