1. Stay Sydney 93 is one of my favorites by U2 ever.
  2. Stay in 93 highlights the controlled falsetto more, something he couldn’t do nowadays but in the versions since elevation it’s highlighted his passion more, more powerful and crucially for me he doesn’t need to overstretch. Personally I’m glad we’ve got the different versions. Hearing it in 2018 was a dream come true, full band as well. Best gig moments of my life.

That kind of falsetto that he sings in on Stay isn't hard for him to sing these days, its is the deep falsetto sound from One, YBR, Lemon that he isn't able to sing anymore
He still use falsetto these days but not the deep one

  4. This Whining sound in his voice contunie on Popmart, listen to the Naaaaaaaame note in this one(The bands plays the song in a key that Bono wasn't comfortable with )

I disagree I don’t think he could pull of the falsetto he uses in stay in 93 these days. Or at least it wouldn’t sound very smooth if he tried it. Too many in a short space of time for him to get it right and I’m saying this as someone who still really likes his voice these days. The ‘hope is where the door is’ bit of sleep like a baby is a good example that he’s really having to stretch and that’s in studio I think he would have really struggled with that bit live.

Well with most opinions there’s 2 sides and given the number of people who have there say it’s very likely that I’m going to disagree with someone on every topic but that also means I’ll agree with someone on the very same topic. Your negative views always struck me as over the top and often without anything to back it up. It seems like you’re not very good with debate either.

  9. I’ve been called a lot worse things than boring before, probably even been called worse by you in fact. Thanks for bringing your tremendous views and insight into the topic, highly valuable material as always.

Yep, and they played it very well in 2018, as they did 'Horses', which in my opinion was played and sung better than in 1992.

both sounded surprisingly good, I think we should just be happy with that.. better than '92/ '93? in some ways maybe, but those versions were pretty awesome as well...

Wild horses I thought was played really well in 2018. I do like the ‘don’t you look back’ bit better in 92 but I like that he’s found a way to adapt it for his voice today and thought it really worked, would just pick 2018 over 92 but again happy to have both and not much in it.
