1. 31:08 to 31:40 He really gives his all(a bit off also), but due to the problems he had back then....
I like the he has on "you again" in the chours.

  2. ISHF was after Desire, but his voice on the other songs wasn't in top shape....
  3. I think there has been a pretty sharp decline in Bono's voice since 2011. However, he has his moments. He manages to sound especially good in The Little Things That Give You Away and Every Breaking Wave. Acrobat sounded pretty good back in 2018. Desire sounded really good in the 2019 performances I have listened to. And at my only U2 concert, of all the songs Bono could have sounded amazing in, he was on fire during Electric Co... and that really surprised me because honestly he was sounding even better than he did in any 2005-2006 recording of Electric Co. I have ever listened to.

Funny you mention Electric Co... Heartfully agree. I was talking to a friend this afternoon following a Dublin '18 nostalgia moment I had. We agreed that we find the band the most inspired and passionate when they perform their early 80s tunes (namely: Out Of Control, Electric Co and Gloria, and to a lesser extent I Will Follow). Everything else from the 80s (except a few performances of Bad) sounds tired and monotonous, but these 4 songs get the band -and the crowd- going so badly. And Bono sings them really really good.

I agree that his voice has been steadily getting worse since the end of the 360 Tour. It's still not as bad as other prominent singers (yes, I'm looking at you, Jon Bon Jovi), but it's undeniably worse than it was a decade ago. And it's sadly not getting any better because Mr Hewson is not getting any younger.
  5. I honestly believe that the more “rare” songs man more because of how little they’re played. For instance, Staring At The Sun in 2018 was fresh (obviously a good song) and you could tell Bono and edge really liked playing it live and was into it, as was the crowd. Of course you need the war horses but you can tell how much they like playing things like Gloria, Electric Co, etc like you guys were saying and I think it’s because it’s something a little different that Beautiful Day for the 193883920207292948 time

I would say that 2014- to middle of 3rd Leg in 2015 was even better in some points comapred to 2009-2011.

His voice was much cleaner, no rasp(which he still had back in 2011), his pitch was better also.
His main low to middle voice was better also.

360 tours strenght was the high notes, falsetto and belts.
  7. All in all, which song would you say is the vocally most demanding song in U2's discography? Not talking about the highest recorded note; I'm wondering which song is the biggest challenge for Bono (or any other singer) to get right.

I'd say it has to be among these: ASOH, Wire, Pride and Still Haven't Found (all in their original studio tuning of course).

TUF songs might be one of the hardest, due that even in the 80s when his belting and screams was as it best he didn't manage to sing them like on the studio versions.
Also songs that are very up and down in the range, that has alot of variety in type of notes can be very demanding.
The tracks you named are hard songs....

I think Bono could have succed in singinng ISHFWILF in 2009-2015 really good, just listen to the highs in this one:

Imagine if he had used that force to sing ISHFWILF.

Also I think we not should forget that some of the songs from 00s and 10s also are pretty hard to sing, NLOTH, MOS, EBW(piano, I think Bono back in the 80s would have had some problems with this one), Vertigo, Iris, IGCIIDCGT....

These days Bonos biggest challange isnt the high notes, it is the falsettos.
