1. Pride is one of them for sure. Probably Streets would also be demanding for many other singers out there. Miss Sarajevo and Bad are tricky ones too.

Bono have hit the C# in Wide Awake on one tour, Popmart.
    6:12
  3. As far as I know, Bono hit the high C#5 in the "TAKE ME HIIIGHER" part of EBTTRT in a few concerts (1992-03-10 Philly, 03-21 Albany, 03-23 Montreal, 04-23 Vancouver, 05-07 Paris, 05-16&18 Barcelona, 05-21&22 Milan and 06-13 Kiel). In most of them it was pretty strained (it's a really really high note after all) but in Vancouver it was like the most potent and perfect roar you can imagine.

Man, they really were at the top of their game back then.

That's why he can't sing like that anymore pushing his voice like that over so many tours is gonna take it's toll, he's learned to control it better since the elevation tour when he got singing lessons.

I think it's a combination of just aging + his attitude of seeing his body as a 'discomfort' really (not judging here). He certainly made up for the loss of 'screaming' power with technique though..
  6. I've just stumbled upon what is probably Bono's 2nd highest one after the insane G5 from Night And Day. It's a clear F#5 falsetto, up to now we only had that F5 falsetto from Mysterious Ways and a not-so-clear F#5 from Streets or WOWY in Dublin 89 if I recall correctly.

The show is the "hungover gig" in Rotterdam 93 and the song is Satellite Of Love. 1:01:15 in the video below:

That’s spectacular. The way he just steps it up. I skip Satellite of Love 100% of the time so have probably never heard this. Amazing.

Lol same I never really listen to it because it usually is the fairly same version every time, good find! Is this the same show as the Mysterious Ways crazy high note?

It makes you wonder how many performance jewels are hidden in the middle of insipid songs or shows...
  11. Not that its an insipid show, perhaps one of their most popular of all time, but 1987-04-29 Rosemont has a moment buried in an otherwise-decent performance of With or Without You.

Start at 01:27:15 and listen to Bono wail on the "Nothing to win and nothing left to lose" line

This is fantastic - so is the Satellite of Love high note and the "nothing to win" delivery from Rosemont.

Also love Bono's intro of himself before EBTTRT: "I don't know who the fuck I am tonight...let's hope it's better than the real thing."
