1. It was twenty years ago today... almost

One of the more interesting setlists of 2001 to finish off an interesting run of shows in Chicago. Probably one of the highest quality recordings from the tour to compliment it as well. We have some review in the bag already for this show but the majority of these are 10+ years old.

Let's go with the 'Vibrations' source. As usual, please only partake if you are committing to a review and plan to add to the discussion. Selection of subsequent shows will fall to those who put some effort into their reviews (this does not mean your review needs to be five thousand words and glowing with praise).
  2. Yesssssss

(note taken about the 5 thousand words lol)
  3. Ok !
I always remember to have seen this one as ALD source on a "rare" trader's list . How frustrated I was to imagine how good it could have been to listen to this show with the same sound quality than the night before .
But it was 15 years ago, maybe this "rare" source was infact the iem ! no way to know .
  4. An all time favorite boot of mine and one I know front to back. One of the only ones that’s stayed on my phone for 10+ years, Vibrations source specifically.
  5. Listened to this just a month or two ago. Great show.

It's stayed for +10 years on the same phone?

  7. I’m through this one already. Will keep it on rotation for this week before reviewing however.
  8. I’ve got this one locked and loaded. Will give it a whirl tomorrow.
  9. As familiar as I am with this show, I'm going to ramp up to it a little bit by listening through this whole Chicago run, which I don't think I've ever done. Going a little bit against the grain here to say a few things about 2001-05-12 as I listen through that one:

-There is a kick-ass "Birthday" snippet at the end of a longer-than-usual Elevation as Bono rocks it out. I didn't realize until this point that it was so near to his birthday, which was actually at the Indianapolis show, where a "Birthday" snippet also appeared, so I want to check that out.

-Beautiful Day may have an unidentified snippet at the end, during the typical "the goal is soul" section. It may also just be Bongolese but its definitely something.
  10. However, the "Be My Baby" snippet is one of the better ones to appear in Elevation, and that one is in our selection!

I also really like when he's done "Pump it Up"
  11. This is a great show for fans of Bono’s guitar playing.
