95% of people probably wouldn’t think much of the comment at all, but someone sees someone else post about being offended then it turns into “SNOWFLAKE! THIS GENERATION IS SOFT!!! SAD!” and it gets reshared and reshared over and over.

Long story short, another example of something that isn’t a big deal at all turning into a big deal.
    Exactly...
  2. I think there's another point. One leads by example. If a member of group X thinks that Adam may have been disrespectful towards members of X (perhaps he has been, I don't know), I think it would be more effective to say this in a, well, more respectful way. What has a feminist achieved after calling Adam a 'fucking' whatever she called him? Certainly not more respect for women. And certainly not more understanding from Adam. She was speaking to her own echo chamber. Perhaps she *is* right, I don't know. But that's not the point. If you've been verbally 'aggressed' (I really don't think that's the case, but let's suppose it is), reacting to aggression with aggression is going to lead to precisely nowhere.

Right, I mean calling Adam out by saying they were offended, loses all credibility when they themselves go out of their way to reply with a purposely offensive statement.
  4. this will lead to U2's final album not being called 'men'
